How Bromson Hill Care Home Will Be Affected by Recent Spikes in Electric and Gas Costs

Updated: Jul 19, 2023

In the midst of the winter season, along with the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia, energy costs to operate all business across the United Kingdom has become much more difficult.

In response to these soaring costs, the UK government had established a relief program that would occur between 1 October 2022 to 31 March 2023, a six-month period. This relief scheme would subtract a certain amount off of electricity and gas bills for domestic business across the U.K. But now a new relief scheme has been enacted to take place for a year following the end of the current relief scheme. This allows business to save anywhere from £19.17-£302 per MWh used. This relief will be taken off of each billing cycle, meaning less funds will have to be allocated towards it. Meaning that energy costs for all businesses across the UK will be stifled for months to come and will allow funds to be used elsewhere.. This allows Bromson Hill Care Home to continue to run efficiently to ensure quality care and service to its residents without the fear of increasing costs or decreased service.
